Mean and Evil
Notes
Another song we play very often. Great fun lyrics, especially the Elvis line. We extend this a lot and it always goes down well.
It took me ages coming up the last line of the chorus, the first line is so strong,
"Because your so mean and evil, you put the devil out of work",
I didn't see how I could follow it up. Took me a week, but finally did it...
"You're every man's nightmare, hell dressed up in a skirt"
Very proud of that one!

Lyrics
I wonder who is kissing her tonight
I wonder why she don't treat me right
She treats me like a leper, she treats me like a fool
I'm quotin' Elvis, "don't treat me cruel"
I feel like I'm in Texas and I'm running out of room
I'm buying liquor but I own my own saloon
Stand on top of Everest and I say
You won't even turn and look my way
Because your so mean and evil, you put the devil out of work (x2)
You're every man's nightmare, hell dressed up in a skirt
You tell me to listen when you talk the talk
I'm tellin you baby, I'm about to walk the walk
My love for you will last like snow on the desert sand,
I love you like a woman, but I fear you like a man
