I've got the original Hank Ballard version of The Twist and when I played it once, I realized the drummer is kinda swinging the song not playing sticks "8's" on the Hi-Hats. Most drummers couldn't play "straight 8's" till the late 50's + 60's, they were still very much jazz players, so that gave me the idea to swing it.... I LOVE the way we do it, I hope you do!
