Our Newcastle agent at the time, Dean Dee, was always after us to play more covers, so one morning while John + Derek were getting breakfast, I played this tune on slide and found it was a kind of "drone"... so I played it with a Gene Krupa tom-tom feels kinda feel and that night, I just started playing it in the last set and John was looking at me going "what the hell are you doing" Derek was looking at me "what the hell do you want me to do", so they just started playing it, not too differently to what we finally recorded, the audience loved it, it went over as the best song of the night and we've been playing it to great success since. Thanks for the push Dean.
