Anni Piper came in with her band and recorded a song with a real great groove and I thought it'd be good for Misipi to have a groove like that and my wife Jan loves funky stuff and is always after me to write that kinda groove, so I asked Anni if I could borrow the groove and a few chords and write a song around it. I wrote it over 2 days and by the time I'd finished it didn't sound much like Anni's song at all!

I like the song quite a bit, but not as much as my wife and others, who LOVE it. We put it on as first song of the album but I still don't know if that was a good idea or not.

It's also a bit longer than we would have liked it, but I never found a way of cutting it down without wrecking it. There's several parts to the song, so it kinda just has to be that long... sorry Mr DJ.
